After five weeks on the road driving across the country, the Ricardos and the Mertzes arrive at their destination – Hollywood. With stars in her eyes, Lucy heads for the Brown Derby, a restaurant frequented by celebrities, with Ethel and Fred in tow.

Ricky finds Lucy exhausted after a trying day with little Ricky and insists it is time their son started nursery school. Lucy's protests are overridden and Ricky takes young Ricky to nursery school, but the baby comes down with tonsillitis.

Lucy travels with Ricky to Hollywood for his big screen test and gets excited about the possibility of living there. According to industry insiders Ricky is a shooin for the lead role in "Don Juan".

Lucy works to attend a barbershop-quartet competition.

Beaver buys a pair of ice skates that are three sizes too large.

Beaver is the only one among his friends to honor a pact to dress casually for an awards dinner.
