The Land Beyond the Starry Sky

When Akio Mori (Ouji Suzuka) is nearly hit by a truck, his friend Makoto Ozaki (Sato Yusuke) tries to save him. Akio begins having recurring dreams of a mysterious beautiful girl, Risa Sakaguchi (Shiori Akita). One day, he sees her in real life, and she hugs him before vanishing. Discovering his own funeral photograph, Akio realizes he didn't survive the accident. He appears to Ozaki, who quickly accepts the supernatural situation and begins investigating Risa to understand their connection. Determined to unravel the mystery surrounding the girl from his dreams, Akio seeks his friend's help to understand his current state of existence. This is a 2021 Japanese youth fantasy romance film directed by Kazuya Konaka, a remake of the director's 1986 debut film.
