In this silent romantic comedy starring William Haines and Joan Crawford, a shipping clerk pretends to be a champion golfer to win an heiress's heart. Wisecracking Jack Kelly (Haines) secures entrance to an exclusive country club. Jack initially offends the upper-crusts with his clunky manners, but his faked golf skills soon win them over, especially rich beauty Allie Monte (Crawford). By the time he realizes that Allie loves him for himself, Jack is inextricably committed to representing the club at a $10,000 golf tournament.
