Gabriel over the White House

Academy Award winner Walter Huston stars as a man planning to do nothing after he is elected to be President of the United States--but everything changes when he has a vision of the angel Gabriel Over the White House. The Great Depression. Soon after party hack Judson Hammond (Huston--The Treasure of the Sierra Madre) takes office, he barely survives an automobile accident. While comatose, he is visited by the archangel Gabriel with a message from God. When Hammond recovers, he takes over all branches of government--turning the United States into a benign Fascist state and earning the love, adoration and respect of a grateful nation.
