A Yank at Eton

Mickey Rooney stars in this comedy-drama about an American playboy who is sent by a widow to a British boarding school to learn discipline. Upon his arrival in the hallowed halls of Eton, cocky young American Timothy Daniels (Rooney), bereft of common courtesy or a sense of tradition, wastes no time alienating the rest of the students. Eventually, Timothy shapes up and becomes a model student and top athlete. Frequent Rooney co-star Freddie Bartholomew and newcomer Peter Lawford also appear.
