Volcano Hunters

Our hosts Bertrand Homassel & Vincent Cheville visit Java, Indonesia. Indonesia has the largest number and highest density of active volcanoes in the world, 127 active volcanoes with about 5 million people have activities within the danger zone. Bertrand and Vincent visit Mt. Bromo, Kawah Ijen, and Mt. Semeru.

Bertrand and Vincent head to the "Avenue of Volcanoes" in Equador. Here there are about 50 volcanoes, 27 of them active. It is also home to one of the highest active volcanoes on Earth. The boys don't make it there but they do venture to Mt. Reventador, Mt. Tungurahua, and Mt. Sangay.

Bertrand and Vincent make a trip to the largest country in the world, Russia; Russia is home to an extremity of the pacific ring of fire, and one of its most active segments, resulting in over 150 volcanoes.

Vincent et Bertrand se retrouvent en pleine cordillère des Andes pour l'ascension de volcans enneigés. Trois défis, du plus touristique au plus isolé, tous marqués par les lahars, phénomène volcanique le plus meurtrier au monde. Une aventure ludique et instructive.

Bertrand s'envole sur les traces d'Ulysse, entre mythes et volcans, pour explorer la Sicile et les îles Éoliennes, la région d'Europe la plus riche en phénomènes volcaniques, où certains volcans ont donné leur nom à des activités géologiques uniques.

Vincent et Bertrand, les deux cousins auvergnats, explorent le Vanuatu à travers l'ascension du Yasur, sur l'île de Tanna, et des cratères Marum et Benbow à Ambrym. Entre rencontres avec habitants, chefs et sorciers, ils découvrent des volcans actifs empreints de traditions.
