The ambitious Evi (Katja Herbers) is ready for the promotion of her life, a job in Rio de Janeiro! Her boyfriend (Lykele Muus) has already packed her bags, when it turns out that her boss (Carly Wijs) has completely different plans for her. Evi will be responsible for a large project in Terneuzen. Could it be true? Yes, Terneuzen. Refusal is not an option and her career depends on her success in Zeeuws-Vlaanderen. She leaves her comfortable city life, her boyfriend and two best friends (Imanuelle Grives, Elise Schaap) behind in Rotterdam and starts her new life by trial and error. She faces a lot of resistance from the local population and it seems like nothing is working for her. But when she meets the tough skipper Stijn (Maarten Heijmans), she discovers that this remote place contains more than just expansive lands. Will Evi be able to settle down in the muddy Zeeland or will she return to Rotterdam as soon as possible?
