The Business Card

Vietnamese doctor Fan Wen-wing travels to Taiwan for illegal work to care for his severely injured mother. While working as a janitor in the morgue, he meets the neurosurgeon Zheng Wan-ping, and their fates collide.
EPISODE 2

Escaping

Fan Wen-ning assists Zheng Wan-ping in treating burn victims in the ER but gets entangled in a medical dispute after intervening with a different patient, resulting in him becoming targeted by the judicial system.

Disparity

In the eyes of the authorities, Fan Wen-ning becomes suspected of human trafficking and is ordered to be apprehended. With nowhere to go, he stays at Zheng Wan-ping's house, and their relationship improves.
EPISODE 4

Distance

To help care for Hao-hao, who has developed severe epilepsy, Fan Wen-ning accompanies Zheng Wan-ping to Wei-Da Hospital. Wu Chen-hua and Chou Chan-hui are also there collecting evidence, and the stage is set for another confrontation.

Pay the Price

To ease Hao-hao's suffering from epilepsy, Zheng Wan-ping decides to perform another unauthorised surgery on him. Out of empathy, Fan Wen-ning agrees to assist, but when the time comes, he's nowhere to be found.

Fan Wen-ning is detained in the detention centre, and through a series of events ends up in solitary confinement. Zheng Wan-ping unassumingly steps into Taiwan's darkest migrant worker underground when he agrees to help someone.
