The queen dowager is unhappy with the appointment of Yeom as Prince Hwon's tutor, thinking he is too lowly for the post. The Prince decides that if Yeom can answer a riddle, he can continue working as a tutor.

Yeon Woo and Bo Kyung join the palace as tutors to Princess Min Hwa. Prince Hwon is pleased to see Yeon Woo, and Nok notices that Yeon Woo is the `moon' that the shaman vowed to protect.

Prince Hwon decides that he will marry Yeon Woo, but Yeom says it won't happen. Yang Myung is granted permission from the king to possibly marry Yeon Woo.

Nok Young is given orders from the queen to cast a spell on Yeon Woo, which will make her unconscious. Prince Hwan forms a plan to steal a guard's uniform, so he can sneak in and see her.

Yang Myung returns, and attempts to offer some comfort to Prince Hwon. Nok Young rushes to the the burial site with a gravedigger, before time runs out.
