The Good Place

Eleanor Shellstrop, a recently deceased woman, is mistakenly sent to 'The Good Place', an afterlife utopia. Eleanor is driven to curve the foul-mouthed, hard-drinking ways of her past life. She is helped by her new friends Chidi and Janet.

Eleanor engages in a voluntary community cleanup rather than learning to fly, in an effort to become a good person. MIchael is assisted by Tahani and Jianyu to come to terms with a mysterious fault in his neighbourhood paradise.

Eleanor suspects her neighbour Tahani knows her secret; Chidi begins teaching Eleanor about ethics; Janet experiences some unusual personality changes; Janet and Michael set out to help Chidi find a new interest.

Eleanor has difficulty remaining unseen; Tahani is asked by Michael to help a neighbour discover her true purpose; Eleanor makes another friend at the neighbourhood, but soon learns that they are hiding something.

Eleanor believes Chidi's ethics lessons are working after she subconsciously does a good deed. However, Chidi's coaching has become a full-time job for him, and he cannot enjoy paradise; Janet and Michael must take control of an emergency.

Eleanor assists Michael with the essential task of locating the problem within the neighbourhood that could decide her future in the Good Place. However, to be a good person she must expose herself as a fraud; Chidi volunteers to help his friend.
