Sue Perkins takes the gold trail route into the Alaskan interior, goes dog mushing, and takes an intense bug out boat ride deep into the wilderness to find out how people survive there.

Sue Perkins heads further off track, visiting the breathtaking Kennicott Glacier, the formerly-abandoned ghost town of McCarthy, and communities that are living in the extreme wilderness.
