Scandal

Amadeus is dismissed from the Salzburg court, and Maria Anna is to be married. The siblings then flee to Vienna, hoping that Amadeus will find a new position at the court of Emperor Joseph II, but Amadeus has a secret.
EPISODE 2

Rival

Disguised as Wolfgang, Maria Anna receives a commission from the Emperor to compose a folk opera - much to the displeasure of Marie Antoinette. When Constanze's mother learns of her daughter's affair, she throws the trio out of their boarding house.
EPISODE 3

Fantasy

When Constanze is shot during the duel, Amadeus tends to her and is subsequently arrested. During his arrest, the Emperor learns the reason for the duel and announces a competition to determine who will compose the Volksoper (People's Opera).
EPISODE 4

Fireworks

Maria Anna narrowly escapes being exposed - only to be cornered by the queen, who mistakes her for Amadeus, whom she intends to seduce. To buy time, she plays a captivating piano piece until the emperor finally intervenes.

Ghosts

King Louis XVI comes to Vienna to bring Marie Antoinette back. Determined to take her fate into her own hands, she seduces Amadeus and begs him to come to her court in France.

Light

Amadeus rejects the queen and asks Constanze for forgiveness. While Marie Antoinette returns to France, Maria Anna's fiancé recognises her talent and agrees to break off the engagement. Maria Anna and Amadeus speak out.
