Mac and Vukovic attend the annual JAG conference in San Diego, and face off in court during the trial of a Marine accused of killing a Nicaraguan civilian.

Mac travels to Iraq to investigate a bombing that killed a group of Marine reservists, while Harm and Bud go to Oklahoma to assist their families.

General Cresswell's brother believes that unidentified remains of a Vietnam soldier recently discovered are those of a chopper pilot who saved his life during the war, and Vukovic and Graves are sent to investigate.

When Vukovic goes up against a high-profile lawyer in a manslaughter case, Cresswell assigns Harm to help him, and the two jokingly become known as `the dream team'.

When Cresswell gives Harm and Mac relocation orders, they must choose which JAG team members will go with them. Meanwhile, Vukovic is assigned to visit Parris Island, and investigates a Marine recruit's odd behaviour.
