Tay Barrett
Prolific, humorous and community-minded, Taylor Barrett was born in Southern California to an actress mother and talent agent father. She got her start in performing when she played Glinda the Good Witch in a production of "The Wiz" around the age of nine. Growing up in a creative family fostered her development as a multitalented creator. In college, she double-majored in nonfiction creative writing and sociology. She partnered with friend Caroline Goldfarb to create and star in the quirky comedy "Tiny Nuts" (Hulu, 2014). Barrett received a grant from Here TV's incubator program to produce content for its platform, including "Work in Progress" (2018), a series about balancing work and other aspects of life. The series was heavily inspired from her own experiences as a self-made creator. Outside of filmmaking, Barrett performed stand-up comedy. She promoted positivity and visibility for the LGBT community through her work, and she produced a series of candid video shorts for Pride.com. Her documentary series "Inside the Rainbow" (Here TV, 2018) profiled LGBTQ individuals actively involved in supporting their communities.
