While Adam (Sean Giambrone) worries about sexual tension between him and his longtime friend Emmy (guest star Stephanie Katherine Grant), Erica (Hayley Orrantia) and Beverly (Wendi McLendon-Covey) square off over a lack of trust.

To get his little brother his first kiss, Barry (Troy Gentile) hosts a “no parents allowed” birthday party in the basement for Adam (Sean Giambrone) – which sparks some surprisingly protective instincts in Erica (Hayley Orrantia).

As Beverly promises to bring Scott Baio to Jenkintown for Hands Across America, Adam ends up with two dates to the same dance.

As Beverly’s substitute teaching inspires Barry, Adam gets a lesson about the difficulties of being a teenage girl.
