The competition kicks off with each chef cooking their famous flavours atop chicken and an accompanying signature side.

In the third week of the competition, the barbecue arena is converted into a Polynesian paradise, and the kids must make a pork dish fit for a luau. Plus, a tropical twist throws some of the kids for a loop, and barbecue pro Danielle Bennett guest judges.

Round one features a hot dog challenge, then contestants face a stuffed burger elimination.

The final five kids grill their blue ribbon-worthy foods over two barbecue rounds. The first round dares the chefs to make on-the-go fair food, while the second will test them with grilled desserts.

The final three kid chefs cook one last time for the title of champion. Special guest judge Graham Elliot awards the winner with a feature in Food Network Magazine's Kid Edition and US$20,000.

In a cowboy campfire-themed competition, the kid chefs cook up an array of meals, from big hearty breakfasts to giant steaks. Special guest chef Kent Rollins helps judge which chef goes home.
