Lucy improvises a slapstick routine to fill in for Buffo the Clown and is offered a TV contract, but Ricky doesn't want her to join his act.

While the gang is in Hollywood, Ricky sells the car and the Mertzes are afraid they are going to be stuck in California.

The Mertzes get into a feud with Ricky and Lucy, which could force them to move out. In order to get one back on them, they start singing loudly at all hours of the night.

Lucy approaches the zero hour and is rushed to the hospital to have her baby. Ricky is very anxious and isn't able to relax.

Ricky accidentally gives Lucy a black eye.

The Ricardos and Mertzes must return to the United States by plane instead of ship; Lucy disguises a block of cheese as a baby on the flight.
