Lucy improvises a slapstick routine to fill in for Buffo the Clown and is offered a TV contract, but Ricky doesn't want her to join his act.

The Mertzes get into a feud with Ricky and Lucy, which could force them to move out. In order to get one back on them, they start singing loudly at all hours of the night.

Ricky's attempts to comfort Lucy through her pregnancy mood swings lead her to believe that he only cares for the baby. When they spend a romantic night together without mentioning the baby, Lucy's suspicion takes another direction.

After Lucy and Ethel decide to buy a used, walk-in freezer to make some extra money, Lucy finds herself trapped inside it. Plus, they unwittingly buy 320kg of beef before trying to sell it to customers at the butcher shop.

The Mertzes change the Ricardos' anniversary plans.
