Roz reconsiders her plans to leave KCAL for a new job due to growing concern over Frasier's budding relationship with Julia, and Daphne and Niles decide to start a family once they send her mother packing.

Niles and Daphne marry on an impulse while on holiday in Reno, but are forced to hide their good news on returning to Seattle after learning that Frasier, Martin and Daphne's mother will all be heartbroken if they ever miss the couple's wedding.

When Frasier and Niles discover a skull while visiting their childhood home, the brothers use their deductive powers to unravel what they imagine to be a sinister murder.

Lilith pays a visit to Seattle and tells Frasier that she would like another child through artificial insemination. Meanwhile, Niles frets over Daphne, who has joined Roz, Alice and Mrs Moon on a road trip to northern Canada.

Frasier agrees to get Roz tickets for Alice to see child entertainer Nanny G, his ex-wife; Niles buys an expensive sweater despite promising Daphne he would start saving for their child's college fund.

Daphne's dinner party is nearly ruined when young Alice embellishes Niles's precious painting, so Frasier steps in to save the night.
