Formerly a flourishing village, Argentina's Villa Epecuen was irreversibly submerged under a colossal saltwater lagoon in the 1980s. Despite this catastrophic event, Pablo Novak chose to remain, becoming the single inhabitant in a desolate landscape largely lost to nature's power. The 93-year-old finds solace in daily living and occasional visits from tourists and family.
