Pudd'nhead Wilson

In his hometown on the Mississippi, the lawyer Wilson is considered to be a rather peculiar fellow: not only does he treat slaves like human beings, he even befriends one, Lucy. Lucy wants to spare her son a slave's life and double-crosses Wilson, an act which has terrible consequences.
