Return of the Shirt

Lily and Marshall tire of Ted's intrusion on their personal space and look for a new flat, and Marshall is delighted when he falls in love with the first flat he sees. Lily can't share in Marshall's joy because she knows they won't be able to afford it because of her hefty credit card bills.

Ted prepares to move to New Jersey. He also argues with Marshall over an outstanding bill for the flat, the gang recount their many interventions on each other throughout the years and Barney poses as an old man.

Burger-mad Marshall meets Regis Philbin while on a quest to find the restaurant where he had his very first New York burger.

Marshall is euphoric when he is offered a job at an environmental advocacy group, but he is persuaded to accept a position at a polluter-defending company instead.

Ted's friends discourage him from going on a date with his tattoo removal doctor because they warn that if it doesn't go well, he'll still have to see her in everyday life. Elsewhere, Barney tells his friends about his `Platinum Rule' in an effort to convince Ted to cancel the date.
